UPSC Exam pattern

1. Preliminary Exam
2. Main Exam
3. Interview Round

Prelims exam ( Preliminary Exam ) – This is an objective-based exam. This exam two paper general studies 1 and General Studies 2. 200 marks each paper and time for one paper 2 hours. There is a negative marketing system. this exam mark does not count in the final selection merit but this is for qualification of the main exam.

Written Exam (Main exam)
After prelims Selected candidate goes for the Main exam. the main exam is written form. a total of 9 papers and 1750 marks but final merit 7 paper marks count. paper A and paper B

Interview (Personality Test)
A candidate who passed or secured qualified marks in Written Exam. UPSC conduct interview those candidates. 275 interview marks count in the Final selection

Minimum qualification is graduation for apply this exam
Minimum age to appearance to exam 21 year

Civil service Exam Attempt and age limit
Age limit for general category candidate 32 years. OBC candidate 35year and SC( Scheduled Classes ) and ST( Scheduled Tribes ) maximum age to allowed 37 Years.
